anyone know which cd has the correct 45 fade out on it.........the 45 fades out to 3:23 while most cd versions run 3:34........the final :05 of the 45 compared to the cdr version i have is very slightly diferent.............anybody????

That's the trap of trusting the printed timings on 45s. It's the exact same on the 45 as the CD. Also, the CD may be counting the silent space.

Ed always times his 45s very carefully so I doubt he's referring to the printed time.

no....what i mean is the music in the fade out is slightly different that the cd version.........take a listen to the last 0:05 of the 45's fade out versus the cd counterpart....tell me what you think

Ed, my stereo dj copy states a run time of (3:29) but
actually runs (3:32) while my mono dj copy runs (3:35) does your commercial 45 run 3:23? Edited by Pat Downey |

yes, sir...my 45 fades out about 0:08 ealier than the cd version with a slightly different chorus during the fade out.....would you like an mp3 of my commercial 45????

Ed, I timed your file in Audition at exactly 3:31. I switched to spectaral mode zoomed in at the absolute musical start and end points and marked them. Then I drew the cursor from point to point.
