Pat:
Regarding Journey's "When You Love a Woman", the database states: dj copies of this cd single run (3:56), (4:07) and (3:45) not (3:55) as stated on the cd single and this is a First, as you can see, the comment trails off due to what I suspect is some kind of technical error. What is the rest of the comment supposed to say? Meanwhile, I'm thinking it might not be a bad idea to make notations of the specific track descriptions stated on the promo CD single, where applicable. Here's the DJ single info: JOURNEY - WHEN YOU LOVE A WOMAN (CSK 8688) 1) Radio Edit - 3:56 2) (untitled) - 4:07 (this is the same as the 45 and LP version) 3) No Guitar Solo Edit - 3:45 (printed time: 3:55) |

Doug, I'll try to pull this out and post details ASAP, unless someone beats me
to it. I'm certain I have both versions. |

The Radio Edit removes 2:30-2:37 of the album version, making the edit on the second beat of the measure. It then fades the last sustained note to 3:56.

BTW, the "No Guitar Solo Edit" matches the first edit point of the "Radio Edit," and then it makes an out of sequence edit at the 2:44 mark, skipping back to the second chorus for the first line. It then jumps back to the last chorus at 2:47 for the next line of the chorus.
