Wasn't the radio edit a remix with the guitar mixed much hotter?
We made our own edit from the album version at the CHR I was MD at in the 90s. As I recall, we didn't like the mix on the radio version.

I have the version that appears on a Promo Only (subcription service) cd (Mainstream Radio - June 1996), which runs 4:38. I'm not sure what mix or edit it is, but I'm sure it's supposed to be the single. If anyone wants to review it, and report back on what I've got, let me know.

The version on the promo cd that Jim references is not a remix, as far as I can tell, and I'm very familiar with both the LP and edit versions. The edit is really just a late fade in (about 10 seconds before the vocals start) and early fade out. Both versions are terribly distorted.

I wonder if more than one promo cd exists or if this is a custom edit done by Promo Only?
