Our station used to play a custom edit of this song that cut off the "cherokee people" part at the end. Instead of playing it from the promo single, we carted up our custom edit. Why? No idea.

But I believe you are correct that the "Radio Mix" is the same as the LP version.

Oh, God, we got another European/US difference on the "Dance Mix" that is the B-side of this cassingle. The version I have on an import CD single for "Indian Outlaw" runs 4:18 with the "thunder" ending. The version that's a bonus track on the US maxi CD of "I Like It, I Love It" runs 4:35 with the "thunder" ending.

So which length version was on the US cassingle for "Indian Outlaw"? I have a feeling Ed will be the one to answer this.

I was wrong about the part that was edited on our version. We cut out the fiddle part, because it was "WAY too country," in the words of our former music director.

The "radio mix" runs (3:23) on the cassette single? The LP version only runs (3:00) or so.

3:23 appears to be the printed time. Ed, did you happen to make a note of the actual run time?

Yes, Ed, if you could give the actual running times of both sides of the cassingle, or send me MP3s so I can time them, I would be interested to know.

I have two different promo CD singles for "Indian Outlaw", are here are the particulars. But please keep in mind that I worked at a CHR station, so the promos they sent to us would obviously be geared for that format, as opposed to country:

-Tim McGraw--"Indian Outlaw" (CURB-D-1073)
1-Radio Mix (L & A 2:59)

-Tim McGraw--"Indian Outlaw" (CURB-D-1075)
1-Dance Mix (Specially Edited For Radio) (L 3:36; A 4:19) (not a typo, a :43 second L/A time difference)
