The song was later dusted off and re-mixed for the MIU Album after the record company kept rejecting the band's track lists. The incorrect, earlier mix first appeared on the early CD of the MIU Album in 1990.

I bought "Ten Years of Harmony" (the LP) in 1981 partly to get the current hit "Come Go With Me". When I later got this album on CD with this other mix, I knew the song first appeared on a 1978 LP (which I didn't have) and just assumed this mix was from that LP. But that's not the case. I'm now guessing this was an abandoned mix from 1978, not 1981 or even created for the CDs that came out in the late 80s and beyond. There may be some Beach Boys fans here and I'm wondering if anyone can enlighten us to what the story is behind these releases.

Album (which I assume is sourced from the 2000 M.I.U.
Album/L.A. (Light Album) twofer) features an odd digital glitch at the
start. The mastering found on the 2003 compilation Sounds of
Summer appears to correct this, but was the hit version "glitched" or
not? I'm confused.

On this arrangement you will clearly hear a piano in the background from the very start of the song. Don't know if Epic ever remastered this cd to correct the problem but you will immediately know upon listening that this is an alternate mix.

I'm so confused!
