I'm pretty sure iHeartRadio plays it at full volume until the end as the file boosted the level. (I used to re-do that national library all the time, if it was hissy, i used noise reduction). Any time I hear the fade out on Glory Days, I find it to be odd because I'm not used to hearing it that way.

The CD version has the laughter at 4:07 where the audio has dropped to about -18dB. It's definitely into the fade by this point, but the volume is still very audible. This can technically be considered a "cold" ending, even though there's more audio that follows.

By 4:08, the volume starts dropping drastically. At 4:10, there's a "wooo" and drum roll. The final note hits at 4:12 and -30dB, which is where the song truly ends cold. This is the cold ending I've heard on my local CBS classic hits station, and when I've heard it there's not even a hint that the song has started to fade out. I'm pretty certain it would require someone boosting the ending volume purposefully to be heard loud and clear on the air.
