Whew! Billboard's Hot Digital Songs chart is out for the week ending Sunday. Mostly Michael. Very interesting to get digital totals for his songs. (And surprising to see the high ranking of P.Y.T.)

Hot Digital Songs represents all versions of the song, from all albums, combined together. I've rearranged these in order of total sales to date (which is the far right column). "The Girl Is Mine", "Billie Jean" and "Thriller" had "Can't Get Outta The Rain", a non lp cut as the flip side.
"Beat It" used the Off The Wall cut "Get On The Floor" as its flip side.
"Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'" used an instrumental version.
"Human Nature" had Thriller lp cut "Baby Be Mine".
"PYT" utilized a live version of "Working Day And Night" from the Jacksons 1981 live album.

This version has been released on some highly random promo CD. Unfortunately I can't remember exactly which one it's from, but I think it's a Quincy Jones CD. I'll research and get back on that!

That was me. Yeah, anyone who has any of the pre-special edition releases of the "Thriller" CD, look at the lyrics to "Lady in My Life" -- the missing verse is there. So is the unused end tag to "Thriller," Vincent Price saying, "Can you dig it?" before he breaks into his laugh.

okay, this is just ridiculous. I had NO idea THAT track was an edit--but someone mentions in the comments that the missing verse is even included on the lyric sheet with the album!

SERIOUSLY, with TWO special editions of Thriller released in the last decade, they couldn't have FINALLY given us the full length album as Michael meant it to be???
