I agree that there is a significant enough difference between the mono and stereo cd appearances of Twist And Shout to warrant some comment. Before I enter any comment I need to find out version appears on the original stereo vinyl LP Wand 653 titled Twist & Shout. This could be a case where the stereo vinyl LP did not really include a stereo version of Twist And Shout and if it did was it the dreadful reverb drenched version we hear today on compact disc. The song would probably qualify for "45/LP mix" comments if the only discernible difference between the two (besides the obvious left-right channel placement) is reverb. At least, this is how I've seen other cases like this get noted in the database.

I noticed that the stereo version of "Twist And Shout" has a ton of reverb on the lead guitar, whereas on the mono version this guitar is fairly dry. Correct, according to this quote from the SH discography:

"The first release of Toga Rock, Vol.1 was not mastered by Steve. The one with "Twist & Shout" and "I Fought The Law" in STEREO is the one mastered by SH. David - There are two different versions of "Toga Rock" with the same catalog number. One is mastered by Steve Hoffman (and is therefore prized by the audiophile community over at his website), and the other is mastered by someone else. The mastering credit is printed on the booklet, so you can tell which is which just by looking.
