Nice instructions, Abagon!

I did my own recreation before I found this thread, so
I'll post my instructions anyway. These are based on the
cheapie Rhino Special Editions Best Of (1992).

Segment 1:
Extends from 0:00.0 to 1:17.7 of both the 45 edit and the
LP version.
Ends on a downbeat.

Remove the 16 beats from 1:17.7 to 1:25.9 of the LP
version.

Segment 2:
Begins on a downbeat.
Extends from 1:17.7 to 3:11.6 of the 45 edit.
Extends from 1:25.9 to 3:19.8 of the LP version.
Ends on a snare.

Remove the 32 beats from 3:19.8 to 3:36.3 of the LP
version.

Segment 3:
Begins on a snare.
Extends from 3:11.6 to 3:41.9 of the 45 edit.
Extends from 3:36.3 to 4:12.1 of the LP version.
Ends on a downbeat.

Fade:
32 beats long
Extends from 3:25.5 to 3:41.9 of the 45 edit.
Extends from 3:50.2 to 4:12.1 of the LP version.
Fade is abrupt at the beginning, with a long tail.

Your mixdown will run 3:41.9, with edits at 1:17.7 and
3:11.6.

I used a different vinyl transfer to re-do my
edit, and found that I'd misreported the first edit. The
edit really does fall at 1:17.7, as Abagon reported, so I
edited this post to include the proper numbers.

I tried with "The Best Of Fogat" CD (RHINO US pressing).

(remove) 1:17.624 - 1:25.867
(remove) 3:21.270 - 3:37.779
(remove) 4:06.595 - end

fade out point (very steep) 3:24-
