I find it interesting that the promo CD single labels Track 1 as "Clean" because I've never heard a version of "Because of You" containing any lyrics that could be deemed dirty.

Thanks for the input, Paul and mstgator. So it looks like the 3:44 radio edit is actually the "45 version". Now we just need to compare it to the version on the Now 25 to see if they're identical. (My money says they are.)

Man, I'll tell ya... Now that commercial singles are primarily only made available as digital downloads, it's going to become much more difficult to document these singles for historical purposes once they're deleted. It's not like you can just go out and buy them as a "used copy" on eBay, or track them down by catalog number!

I purchased the 3:44 "radio edit" from the Canadian iTunes site in April 2007, but I see that it is no longer available. So it was most likely at one point also available from the U.S. iTunes site.
