The fade ends immediately after the word "dreaming".<br /><br />For the LP version, the fade starts in the same place as the 45 and decays at the same rate as the 45, but the tail of the fade runs about 10 beats longer to <strong>4:27</strong>.  I got my LP version from the CD <em>Arista's Perfect 10</em>.<br /><br />As a practical matter, you won't really notice it.  The extra 10 beats are way down in volume at -40 dB.]]>

A quick glance at all 12-inch releases worldwide for the song shows just the album version on all of them. Then again, Beat It, PYT and Thriller didn't have extended mixes, either.]]>

I don't recall hearing it <br />anywhere else once its airplay run ended.<br />]]>
