The Digital 45 will be for sale on Neil Young's PonoMusic
store when it FINALLY goes active (whenever that will be),
so hopefully we will get a lossless version of the mono
single then.

I did alert them that some of the Rhino Digital 45s on
Qobuz were lossy, and they thanked me for the info and said

Incidentally, just got from SoulSeek the ACTUAL LP
take and the "tearing yourself away"..bridge is
INDEED The EXACT same as the single, not the later
"take" I cited....that ACTUAL LP version/take which
IS the same vocal EXACTLY as the CGS 4:35 single is

Indeed there was, I have a copy. Double A-side, stereo
both sides.
Some promos of "Marrakesh Express" were also stereo
(though mine is mono). Interestingly, the stereo promos
had the whispered gibberish that precedes the song on the
album, but the mono doesn't.

Atlantic issued quite a few singles in both
configurations. I have both mono and stereo promos of a
couple Dusty Springfield songs ("Son Of A Preacher Man"
and "A Brand New Me"). I also have stereo promos of
Arthur Brown's "Fire" and Led Zep's "Whole Lotta
Love"...I'm pretty sure both stock pressings were mono.
The Led Zep single was the long version b/w "Livin'
Lovin' Maid". Not
sure what criteria they used as to who got what...all of
mine came from the same small-market AM station.

I'm not sure which vinyl copy Eric used for creating his version, but there are no crossfades on the original CSG mono stock single.
