Very Best Of does have an edit at (3:37) on "Misled," and it is also slightly faster than the LP version, so it looks like that disc has the correct 45 version.

I noticed that the 1955-1996 edition of Pat's book says that the 4:57 versions on the Emergency and Celebration: Best Of CDs are LP length.

Actually, there's an edit near the end of the song.

The 45 can be recreated from the LP version with an edit at 3:37 and a 16-beat sinusoidal fade at 3:54. The 45 does indeed run 4:06, not 3:59 as printed on the label - this is noted in the book.

The actual 45 is also about 0.4% faster than the LP version on CD. (122.4/122.3 BPM at beginning/end of 45, 121.8 BPM throughout for LP version on Celebration CD)
