This is a really good catch. My dj 45 and LP "Cargo" both have 7 strums but you are right there ar only 6 strums on several cd's. Truncated would probably not be the right word to use, since it's not a fade in on the intro. I noticed that some versions of the song have seven guitar strums before the second guitar part comes in, while others have six guitar strums. The six-strum version is missing the first strum, which can really throw you off if you're looking for the downbeat.

Not sure which versions are on the actual 45 or the "Cargo" LP.
