According to my research, "Grandma's Hands" first appeared on the 1971 Bill Withers LP Just As I Am. This album has never been issued on CD, to my knowledge. Does anyone know if "Grandma's Hands" contains the monologue on the LP? I only own a promo 45 for this one. One side of the promo has a listed time of (2:59), an actual time of (3:00), and states the title as "Grandma's Hands (with Monologue)." This side features Withers at the start, speaking for about a minute about his grandmother. I DO remember hearing this "monologue" on my local radio station, back in 1971.
