Another Beatles US 45 that sounds different from its UK counterpart is the And I Love Her US 45. It's an early mix, and Paul McCartney's lead vocal is not double-tracked for most of the song - just for emphasis here and there.

But - the single-tracked lead vocal mix isn't unique to the 45; it's on the mono US album as well.

It was the first mix created by George Martin and team, and was shipped off to Capitol Records before they eventually remixed it for the Hard Day's Night LP.

The US promo 45 mix of Penny Lane does not have a french horn at the end. The U.S. mono promo mix of Penny Lane had a french horn part at the end that was mixed out. OK doing some light internet research, it appears the U.S. mono promo mix of "Penny Lane" was likely an early mix that was replaced later, and therefore would not be considered "specifically remixed" for the U.S. so much as an alternate mix.

What about "Penny Lane"? The deluxe edition of Sgt. Peppers released a while ago included a Capitol Records-specific version that sounded a bit different, but it was also, sadly, a questionable vinyl conversion which means some of the perceived differences could be down to EQ and medium. "I'll Cry Instead" was also an alternate "extended" edit.

As far as I know, none of them were remixed for the U.S. market. Re-EQ'd, perhaps. Reverb was added for "She's a Woman" and "I Feel Fine" single. And "I am the Walrus" was a different edit because it was released in the U.S. first, prior to its appearance on any album, and then a brief instrumental section was snipped out for the album version.

Depends on the song, but generally it looks like Capitol sourced their mono Beatles 45s from what they also used to create the mono album masters they prepared (example "Roll Over Bethoven" according to the tape box scan in the mono vinyl reissue of Beatles 2nd Album).
