EWF's "Star" can be found on Greatest hits-Japanese
Singles collection (Sony).

Is the Brothers Johnson "Treasure" 45 different in
some way from the parent album version? It clocks in
at around the same time but I know Quincy is
notouriously known for swaping mixes. Forgot how good
this one was!

There's a single version of Lipps,Inc.'s "Rocket it"
on the BBR UK reissue of their debut Casablanca album.
The single version is around 3:20 but I do see a
Discogs page where another us pressing says 3:40. I'm
not sure if there is a different mix or an incorrect
label.

I don't think you'll find an edit for Switch's "I call
your name". You're in for the full 7 plus minutes.

I don't have this CD but the Switch track looks like it
does appear on CD:

2002 Winning Combinations (Motown/Universal Special
Products 440018083)

Ten tracks total with five by DeBarge and five by
Switch.

Anne Murray is on Qobuz on an album called "Somebody's
Waiting."

Herb Alpert "Beyond" is an early fade of the LP.

Just going down your list....Isn't #380 'Save Me' by Dave Mason on Best of Dave Mason, Legacy/Columbia CK 57165? Unless
it's a different version. Isn't that the one with Michael Jackson on it? Also a tough to find one is #360 The Fools - 'Sold
Out/Heavy Metal' on American Beat Records 509999-63037-2. I'll continue to look at more of your list. -Bill.

Also #369, 'Desire' by Rockets. You don't have a time on it, but I assume you're looking for the single. I had it timed out at 3:14,
as the L.P. is 3:29. The Rockets CD is on Renaissance RMED-0160. -Bill.

#372, Toby Beau - 'If I Were You', is on the Very Best Of Toby Beau on Collectables 6054. As far as the Cretones, I
thought 'The Thin Red Line' was released in 2016 on Varese Serabande, but that might be an album version. I don't
know. -Bill.

Also, #294, Humble Pie 'Fool For A Pretty Face', single listed as 4:12, and actual 4:13. It's on the CD 'On To
Victory', Atco 38-122-2. Same Same. #263 Climax Blues Band 'Gotta Have More Love' the 3:28 version is on '25 Years'
on Repertoire 4310. -Bill.

#435 from The Jags is on this cd (I believe it’s the single version):

DIY: Starry Eyes, UK Pop II (1978-1979). Great cd, in my opinion.
The same version can be found on the (at one point) budget 100 track
UK cd, “Punk & New Wave - The Ultimate Collection”.

Yeah, that Fools cd ChicagoBill mentioned is not going to be cheap.
I’ve been following it for some time (and the Piper cd, also on American
Beat Records), and the asking prices have been ridiculously high, if you
can actually find one available.

Hmm, thanks, Fetta, appreciate the tip about the Fools!

Speaking of which, their “It’s A Night For Beautiful Girls” is on the Rhino
cd, “Just Can’t Get Enough: New Wave Hits of the ‘80’s, Volume 3”.
The file runs 3:55, so it looks like the promo version, according to your
timing notes above, PopArchivist.

The Promo 45 version of "It's A Night For Beautiful Girls"
by The Fools appears to be the LP version as well.

#366-What Can You Get A Wookie For Christmas... Is on Rhino 72529 Meco - 'Christmas In The Stars: STAR WARS
Christmas Album'. It runs 3:22 which I think is within a second of the time listed on the single. I had it
filed under 'Anthony Daniels'!! who played C3PO, but does not appear on the 45 RPM. Goofy employees at my
record store. -Bill.

#385,- the single version of 'Don't Cry For Me Argentina' by Festival is on 'Disco Evita' on Polygram/Chronicles 314-537473-2
as a bonus track. It runs 3:48 and that's the stated time on the back. I'll keep searching. -Bill

#427, Ray Kennedy 'Just For The Moment', My promo LP Columbia/ARC-NJC-36395 states the time as 3:22 and actual, 3:21.7. The Columbia/Real
Gone CD RGM-0324, actual time is 3:15.1 after silence is trimmed. My 45 RPM single states the time as 3:29 and actual, 3:21.9. The LP and the
single are virtually identical. Then there is the CD. It has been slowed up about 1 second over the length of the song (not much) but it
fades 5-6 seconds early. I was prepared to say the single could be found on the Real Gone CD, but technically the Real Gone CD doesn't have
either the LP or the single. -Bill.

#450. Suzanne Fellini 'Love On The Phone'. 45 RPM single same as the LP. Available on Various Artist "Hot and Sexy Love
and Romance, Volume 3" on Priority 53796. Timed at 2:56. I don't see this CD listed on Discogs. Not under Suzanne
Fellini, anyway. Also, #396, England Dan & John Ford Colley, 'In It For Love'. On "The Essentials", Rhino 76056, timed
at 3:35. -Bill.

If there is a difference between the 45 of Dottie West's
"A Lesson In Leavin'" and the version on Razor & Tie's
Are You Happy Baby? The Dottie West Collection (1976-
1984)
, I cannot detect it.
