to whom it may concern

the database states the 45/single version runs 3:49....my cassingle issued as impact 54028 runs 4:03 and is identical to the full cd/lp version from ink

this should be noted in the database

If memory serves me my local top40 station played a version that
didn't start with the spoken "how much is enough" cold intro.   Was
another version serviced on promo CD that had a more radio
friendly instrumental opening?

I have two promos for this:

CD45-1298
1. Single Edit (listed & actual 3:50)
2. Album Version (listed 4:03; actual 4:02)

The Single Edit has an instrumental intro that starts with a drum fill. The Album Version has an auctioneer spoken part, followed by "how much is enough" sung over the opening drum fill. As such, it's not possible to create the Single Edit from the Album Version.

CD45-1391
1. Single Edit (listed 3:49; actual 3:50)
2. Album Version (listed 4:03; actual 4:02)
3. Jeff Lorber Version (listed & actual 3:54)

I believe the promo single edit running 3:50 is available
on Ultimate Collection.
