Unlike contemporaries Madonna and especially Prince, Michael Jackson was less of a singles artist in terms of including a wide variety of material on the B-sides of his commercial singles.

There's certainly a lot of fun alternate mixes to be found on later releases, but early on the same songs found themselves repeated sometimes up to 4 times on the flipside of single releases.

As I no longer own a majority of these, would anyone be able to shed light on if any of the many B-side releases of "Get On The Floor", for example, differed from the first LP pressing mix (available on original Japanese CD pressings of "Off The Wall"), or if some of them actually utilized the remixed LP version (available on all subsequent US and international pressings of the same album).

Any info is greatly appreciated. =)

I'd actually like to know this info, too, if anyone has already researched it. I do have all the stock singles from "Thriller" that I could check if needed, but I don't believe I have any from "Off The Wall."

I verified several years ago when making one of my A&B
sides MJ comps that all three US 45 appearances of "Get on
the Floor" were the remixed version. (As the running times
would indicate, anyway... the original LP version is about
ten seconds longer.)
