both my commercial cd single and cassingle issued as laface 24272 for the total song "what about us" contain the same track listing as below

1-album version w/o rap (4:23 listed; 4:23 actual)
2-instrumental (4:18 listed; 4:20 actual)

question is, does the full length cd versions in the db contain the rap?

Ed, I don't have an answer to your question. However, in addition to the
CD single you've already detailed, I also own two different promo CD
singles for this song, and here are the particulars:

-Total--"What About Us" (LFPCD-4262)
1-Radio Mix w/Rap (listed & actual 4:00)
2-Radio Mix w/o Rap (listed 3:21; actual 3:20)
3-Instrumental (listed 4:18; actual 4:19)

-Total--"What About Us" (The Remix) (LFPCD-4299)
1-Lil' Jon Remix Radio Edit (listed & actual 4:06)
2-Lil' Jon Remix w/o Rap (listed 4:09; actual 4:10)
3-Lil' Jon Remix Instrumental (listed 5:48; actual 5:47)

Yes, it can! I just confirmed, it's simply an early fade from 3:11 to 3:20.
