The database indicates the commercial 45 runs 3:19, but unless there were multiple pressings of the commercial 45, the copy I have has a listed and run time of 3:13. Deadwax is S45 92007A - 4111 Z1+2.

Last year, I believe, Mark M. asked me if I owned the (4:46) promo 45 of
this song, which he'd noticed while browsing Pat's db. I'd actually been
trying to track it down for many years, with each and every one of the
*very* few copies I ever saw turn up selling for well over $200.,
exceeding my record budget.

Well, back in September of '16, I *finally* managed to locate a copy, for
the bargain price of $135. (Ouch!) Although Capitol mostly saved their
large "DISCO" notation for their 12" singles, in this particular case they
did opt to feature it on this 7-inch promo 45 as well. Another included
rarity is that Capitol, for some reason, pressed this particular U.S.
promo 45 (P-4111; SPRO-8171), handwritten deadwax of "SPRO 8171
(72007 B) Z-2", with a listed and actual time of (4:46),
and the same, identical stereo contents on both sides) with the smaller
spindle size usually only seen here in the U.S. for 1) LP's, and 2) 45s
pressed outside of the U.S.. (And, for anyone skeptical, all of the label
"small print" for this item absolutely indicates that this is, with 100%
certainty, a U.S. pressing.)

I have been meaning to post the re-creation instructions on here for a
couple of months now. My thanks to Aaron for his expert analysis, and
for his recent e-mail passing along the precise edit instructions to
create a perfect (4:46) promo 45 version of "It Only Takes A Minute", for
which I will paraphrase on here now.

Aaron: "This was a simple out-of-sequence edit of the (3:59) LP
Version. Just before the final chorus at (3:24), the songs cuts back to an
earlier chorus (1:51 of the LP Version), then cuts to the synthesizer
breakdown at (2:53) (which is now repeated for a second time.) The
song then plays through the normal fade out."
