I ask the group since the DB lists no distinction between the versions on "The All Time Greatest Movie Songs" & "The Very Best Of: Peabo Bryson" the former has a cymbal? intro while the other starts clean. So anyone have any backround? Thanks

Bumping this back up, since there was another question asked about it recently. The copy I have on my TM Century CD does not have an opening cymbal. There is a YouTube video with a collage of photos from the movie. It has an opening cymbal and a vocal ad lib over the intro. I'm guessing this must be the soundtrack version.
