I didn't see a previous topic on this song. I am going through 45s right now trying to file away everything I've purchased in the last few years and I'm finding I've got some that are duplicates. This was one of those cases (and if I had known I had one copy of this, I might not have bought a second).

I have two different pressings of this 45. Both are on University records and both have a label time of (2:18). The catalog numbers are similar but not identical...

The first pressing says the catalog number is 210 and has a matrix number elsewhere on the label of (B - 207 - IG). In the trail-out there is a hand written B-207-IG and on the other side of the trail-out is a hand written MCR with no other markings given. This pressing has an actual time of(2:18).

The second pressing says the catalog number is U-210 and has a matrix number of (2000) right below it on the label. In the trail-out I see handwritten 2000-1 followed by machine stamped A1 and then it is followed a little bit later by an upside down R (I assume this was pressed at RCA's Rockaway, NJ plant, then). This pressing has an actual time of (2:20).

The only difference between the two versions that I could hear was that the second pressing is a little slower than the first.

Bumping this up for Ed, who indicates in another thread that he has a copy of the 45 running (2:16).
