does anyone know if they've seen a shorter version in circulation of the cindrella song "shelter me"?.....does anyone own the usa promo cd single?...if so what are the tracks, versions and run times.....

Ed, here are the brief details from my promo CD single:
Cinderella-"Shelter Me" (CDP 336)
1-(non-described version) (listed 4:50; actual 4:45)
We never played this song as a current at my station back in 1991. As for the existance of a (3:59) promo CD single of it, it is probably out there, but I neither remember one coming in nor own one in my collection, Ed - sorry.

As a supplement to Jim's promo CD single for Cinderella's "Shelter Me", which is now documented in the database, Ed has reported to me that his cassette single copy has an actual run time of 4:47, not 4:50 as stated on the label.
