The database currently states the following comment for Blessid Union of Soul's "I Wanna Be There":

(dj copies of this cd single run (4:08) and (4:27); commercial copies were all (4:27))

There are actually three tracks on my promo CD single copy, so I thought I'd re-post the specific track descriptions to help assist database subscribers who may be seeking a specific radio edit. Here's the track and run time information (the actual and printed times are all the same):

BLESSID UNION OF SOULS - I WANNA BE THERE (EMI DPRO-11688)
1) Radio Version - 4:08
2) Blessid Radio Version - 4:08
3) Album Version - 4:27

I did a quick analysis of all three tracks and it appears the Radio Version and Blessid Radio Version each represent a different edit of the album version.

What is the difference between the 2 edits? I think we played the "Blessid radio edit" when it was current, but I never compared them closely.

If you were to take the album version and edit out the "and all you got to show for who you are is pain/and I got so much to give if you'd only let me in" verses from 1:55 to 2:09 and then begin fading the ending a couple seconds sooner, you'd get the Radio Version.

The Blessid Radio Version meanwhile is identical to the album version until the 3:52 mark. If you were to take the album version and remove from 3:52 to 4:06 right before the word "be" at both edit points and then begin fading the ending a few seconds sooner, you'd get the Blessid Radio Version.

Not sure how this happened, but the timing info I previously provided for the Blessid Union of Souls "I Wanna Be There" promo CD single are based on the printed times only. Here is the actual and printed run time info for each track...

1) Radio Version - 4:12 (not 4:08 as printed on the label)
2) Blessid Radio Version - 4:12 (not 4:08 as printed on the label)
3) Album Version - 4:27 (actual and printed time)
