I have just acquired a second, unique promo 45 for this song. This promo features the "LP Version" on one side, but has what it claims to be a "New Mix" on the other. I will soon be shooting out this newly-discovered version to Aaron, for his expert analysis; one of us will then report back with more details.

I never knew there were promo copies that weren't that way. Every one I ever saw were the LP/new mix ones. I'd be curious to see what Aaron discovers...I never really noticed much of a difference between the two. I don't have the stock copy...which version does it contain?

If you noticed any difference at all, then your ears are better than mine. I'm doing some catching up on a few outstanding items this evening, and I just compared the two sides of the promo 45. I think this is one of those record company marketing ploys, because I could not hear any differences between the two. I listened carefully in my headphones, switching back and forth throughout the entire song. As far as I can tell, the "New Mix" is exactly the same as the LP version.
