Picked up a stock 45 for this today. Listed time is 3:57, actual is 3:54. Deadwax is ZSS 166341 - 1F.

My promo copy is 5:22/3:57. I'd always thought the short version was a radio edit, and the long version was the commercial version. This is not the first time Columbia has put the album version b/w the shorter stock version on a promo single.

For anyone looking to make the single edit out of the 5:22 LP version, there are just two edits. I can serve them up to you:

Remove 2:09.3 to 2:50.1. The edit is on the 4-beat (the two-note, half-step synth) after "serve somebody."

Then remove 2:44.6 to 3:25.1 (3:25.4 - 4:05.9 of the LP version). The edit is on the downbeat right after "it may be the devil."

The 45 edit appears on the 2020 Japanese Singles Collection recently released on CD. The two disc set has 41 tracks total covering 1965-1985 (only singles released in Japan so some US songs are omitted).
