DONNA SUMMER - "This Time I Know It's For Real"

The actual 45 running time is (3:33), the listed time is "3:36" on the record label. (Atlantic 7-88899)

The actual LP run time is 3:36. This should probably also be noted in the database.

Was the 45 faster than the LP or did it fade a few seconds earlier?

Thought I would bump this up from 2015 to see if anyone
knows the answer to my question. :)

I believe it's an early fade. (Can't confirm with the vinyl, though.)

All the versions I have on CD run 116.0 BPM.

My notes say that the version on the promo disc TuneUp Top40 #13 Apr 17 1989 fades a second or two earlier than the LP version on PolyTel Canada's Big Hits '89. This tells me that Atlantic did an early fade at some point, and I'd guess that the early fade carried over onto the commercial 45.

In the Donna Summer boxed set "Encore", they include a version of "This Time I Know It's For Real" listed as 7" mix. I've compared it to the LP mix and find no differences. (I'm not even sure it fades a half a second early!) Seems kind of strange that they'd include it in a set that also has the album version if they're the same. I'm not saying mistakes can't happen. I've seen them happen with reissues a lot ("single versions" that are no different). But has anyone A-B'd (or subtracted one from the other) to see if there really is a 7" mix, as is claimed?
