Taylor Swift occupies the entire Top 10 this week of the
Billboard Hot 100. It is fair to compare this to the nine
songs that Drake posted there last year. But,
Billboard and all the media are also comparing this to the
five records the Beatles charted in the top 5 back
in 1964. Here we go again - apples vs. oranges....

Sometimes it is apples and oranges. However the Beatles accomplishment is always going to be more significant. Yet all the Beatles 5 hits in the Top 5 were because of the off-labels that rode the coattails of popularity. All their hits did not come from just one album. There also was no streaming back then. No CD's, no digital etc.

Taylor and Drake are at the peak of their careers having started almost around the same time (2007, 2009) keep that in mind.

Taylor charted 20 tracks, 18 of which made the top 40 and 10 of which occupied the entire top 10. It will be interesting see how many stay in the top 10 (my bet half maybe..)

And 13 of the top 15. The week before was it Lil Baby who had a ton of high
debuts? Anyway, as I've said before, this hurts other songs from reaching their
peak if BB didn't do their Hot 100 this way. For instance, Jax's Victoria's Secret
only peaked at 35, but it seems it would have peaked higher. Right now it's
quite a bit lower but moved up 2 spots with a bullet. Other songs, too, got hurt
by the way BB has changed their rules to this.
