A few years back in 2016, Kelly debuted her new song on American Idol which was Piece by Piece.
My understanding is that there was a released radio mix which I have which times in at 3:44. However, this was one of those rare cases where the Idol Version (which runs 3:30) was the Itunes and digital download that was the hit. The Idol Version is with a piano and her voice.
I ask because the Whitburn annual has the Radio Mix as the official timed release, which can't possibly be right. The only version I ever heard on radio was the Idol one. It was promoted to the masses and is the one that appears on the NOW compilation. The radio mix might have taken off in some markets but I am confident the Idol mix trumped it. Anyone know if I am right?

This is yet another case where Billboard combined
versions. You're right though, that the Idol version is
what got it to #8. I'll be changing the time info in our
database.
