I'll get this for sure but golly I wish it included Rock Steady (1971). That's the mono mix I want.

"Ain't No Way" is a mono bonus track on the 1995 Lady Soul.

"Prove It" is in mono on the 1993 Aretha Arrives and on the 2014 The Queen of Soul box set.

If this set is a Warner UK release, perhaps they'll go with the UK versions. For instance, "I Say a Little Prayer" seems to have been issued unedited there (UK 45 label states a running time of 3:30). Similarly, "Call Me" is listed as running 3:47 on the UK release.

Then again... a further perusal of 45cat shows that the tracklist of this collection does not match Aretha's Atlantic UK singles ("Oh Not Not my Baby" was a single there, for example), so the edits will probably match the US singles.

45cat lists "Share Your Love With Me" (b/w "Pledging My Love / The Clock") as a stereo single. Was it also released in mono in the US?

The following are labelled as "CSG MONO MASTER" on the same site:
"The Tracks of My Tears"
"I Can't See Myself Leaving You"
"Gentle on My Mind"
"It Ain't Fair"

Regarding "Share Your Love With Me," this thread shows that both
mono and stereo copies were pressed:

You're welcome.

I should add a point of clarification. I believe that "Queen of Soul box" in your listing refers to the 1992 box set Queen of Soul The Atlantic Recordings. "Prove It" is in stereo on the 1992 box.

In 2014, Warner released another Aretha box set titled The Queen of Soul. "Prove It" is in mono on the 2014 set.

The easiest way to find "Prove It" in mono is probably Rhino's standalone release of Aretha Arrives (1993).

Also, "Dr Feelgood" is double listed above. The second listing should be deleted.

This has been released and sound quality is awesome.
Question, will there be a 1970s disc, covering 1971-1974
or so?

The 1970's stock singles are Stereo as a rule save for
promo copies which sometimes have mono folds for AM
airplay.

I always thought "Rock Steady", "Day Dreaming" and
"Spanish Harlem" were dedicated mono mixes. Not sure about
the others.

Awesome sounding collection. All Top 40 hits are the proper US single edits/mixes as far as I can tell with the possible exception of "You And I", which runs about 3:31 on this collection. I don't have a US 45, but my Canadian 45 runs 2:54, which is also the run time listed in Joel's Pop Annual.

"(Sweet Sweet Baby) Since You've Been Gone" does not have the dropout at 0:01.

I notice from Aaron's list of Aretha's mono Top 40 hits available on CD only in stereo prior to this release that they all hail from the period that Aretha's singles were still mono but her albums were only released in stereo. I wonder whether all previous releases of mono Aretha on CD were from mono album masters and that this is the first CD release using the single masters. (And that the mono album master of "Since You've Been Gone" has the dropout but the single master does not.)

Some of the mono single masters have previously been
released.

That's good to know... thank you! I did email Rhino a
few months ago and ask if there were any plans to
release a Vol. 2 of "The Complete Atlantic Singles," and
they told me that, no, there were no plans to.
