No one should consider "La Canción De Guerra" to be the Spanish-language version of "The War Song".   Both songs are sung in English. The only difference is one line: "Guerra,
guerra estúpida, aquí la gente es estúpida" replaces "War, war is stupid and people are stupid".   That's it. The "Ultimate Dance Mix" includes both lines, plus the Japanese-
language line: "Senso hant-ai, Senso hant-ai". There were also a French version ("La Chanson de Guerre") and a German version ("Der Kriegsgesang").

Another Spanish-language version to add:

Celine Dion - "Sola Otra Vez" (Spanish version of
"All By Myself", 1996)
: It was released in a promo
CD single in the U.S. (CDP 12644). Latin American CD and
cassette editions of the album Falling Into You
feature "Sola Otra Vez" as a bonus track after "Fly".
The first Celine Dion compilation released in the U.S.
to feature "Sola Otra Vez" was The Collectors's
Series: Volume One
.

Michael Jackson - "Todo Mi Amor Eres Tú" (Spanish
version of "I Just Can't Stop Loving You, 1987)
: It
was released in a promo cassette single (EPCS 69007).
Side A contains the Spanish-language version and the
English version on side B. The 2001 special edition of
Bad features "Todo Mi Amor Eres Tú" as one of the
bonus tracks and it's featured on disc 2 of Bad
25
.

"Como Yo Nadie Te Ha Amado" (the
Spanish-language version of "This
Ain't a Love Song") was also
included in some Latin American
releases of the Bon Jovi album
These Days (1995) as the
14th track replacing "Bitter Wine",
one of the two exclusive bonus
tracks in European releases (the
other one is track 13, "All I Want
Is Everything").

Here's one I haven't seen mentioned yet...

"Together" by Tierra. AFAIK, it was only released on a 12" single (Boardwalk 4WB-5707 with "Latin Disco (Dance Version)"
on the flip side. Interestingly, they end the song in English!

Together
- Tierra (Spanish version)

How faithful are the translations from English to
Spanish on these songs? For example, Sheena Easton's
"Almost Over You" in English became "Everything Reminds
Me Of You" in Spanish.

I bought the Roxette CD mentioned above. Thanks for the info.

Does anyone have these 2 Spanish versions they can send as WAVs:

Unbreak my Heart - Toni Braxton
Hero - Mariah Carey

BTW, I have spanish versions of these on vinyl (or CDs from vinyl) - does anyone know if any came out on CD (from tape):

America - Sister Golden Hair
Kim Carnes - More Amor (other than a bootleg from vinyl)
Chris DeBurgh - Lady in Red (other than a bootleg from vinyl)
Charlene - I've Never Been to Me

Thanks!

I was just looking on Discogs and there doesn't appear to be any CD listings of the single for The Jets' "Make It Real". I have a 3" CD Single from Japan with "Alla
Tu/Make It Real (Bilingual Version)" as the B-Side. I believe the Catalog No. is 10SW-39.

I did a search for "Alla Tu" (the full Spanish Version) as well, but didn't find any listings of it on CD.

By the way, I know the title of this thread is "Hits Recorded In Spanish", but I just wanted to mention a 2CD Import that I have called "Motown Around The World - The
Classic Singles". 18 Songs in Italian, 8 in German, 4 in French and 8 in Spanish. These appear to be all 60's songs, with the exception of the last two songs. Here's the
Tracklist for anyone interested:

Motown Around The World - The Classic Singles

Released in 2010, so the sound is on the compressed side as you might imagine. But if you're OK with that, it's a cool collection to have and listen to.

Just wanted to add a few more hits to this list:

1991 Color Me Badd - "Yo Adoro Mi Amor" (Spanish Version Of "I Adore Mi Amor"). Only CD appearance that I know of is on a Promo CD Single from Giant Records (PRO-CD-5074). Also issued on a Commercial Cassette Single in the US.

1994 All-4-One - Muy Enamorados (Spanish Version of "So Much In Love").

1994 All-4-One - Jurare (Spanish Version of "I Swear"). According to Discogs, this was issued as a CD Single in Spain with the English Version as the B-Side.

1995 All-4-One - Yo Te Voy A Querer (Spanish Version of "I Can Love You Like That"). According to Discogs, this was issued in Germany on a Promo CD Single.

Also, although Discogs has no listing for it, the above three songs appear on a commercial CD Single in the US. (Atlantic/Blitz-87098).
It was also issued as a commercial Cassette Single.

The Color Me Badd promo seems to be extremely rare. I've been waiting for it to come up on Discogs and I have yet to see it available at all on eBay. I have the three track All-4-One CD Single, so I can confirm its existence, even if it's not on Discogs, lol.

The 1989 hit by Sa-Fire, "Thinking Of You", has a Spanish version that appears to only be available on this rare CD Single.

Thinking Of You (European CD Single)

Add the 1996 hit, "Where Do You Go" by No Mercy to the
list. There's a separate commercial CD Single that was
released for it. I apparently forgot about it until I
came across it this morning when looking through some of
my CD Singles.

Both Spanish-language versions are also included on

<The other CD is from Spain, and titled Cantando en Espanol (Sung in Spanish). It's on EMI PE 0-2, from 1992, and features 18 tracks. (Most of the recordings are indeed by EMI/Capitol acts.) And yes, this one is most definitely legit (i.e., NOT a "gray area" CD). It features ...
1980 KIM CARNES - "Mas Amor" ("More Love") (3:30)>

I found that "CAntando en Espanol" CD and unfortunately, the spanish version of "More Love" sounds awful (bad vinyl transfers). Does anyone know if this has been released on CD from a tape source?
