Interesting. Did Avril's "Here's To Never Growing Up" also get a CD single release in the US - Walmart or otherwise?

How common are these Walmart-only CD singles? None of the
stores around here carry them.

Most of my local Walmarts have them in the $5.00-or-less CD discount Bin, Hykker, even the brand-new releases. And they're not very common. What's listed in this thread is about all there have been. Though you can still find CD singles for lots of the current hits, maybe even most of them, in the UK and Europe.

I've been pretty lucky as most of the Wal-Marts around here (Milwaukee) seem to carry at least a few copies of each one (and they tend to sell-out pretty fast). They are almost always featured on the end-cap with the other new releases, but sometimes they are filed away with the regular CDs or in the $5 section. You can also order them online at Walmart's site or find them on Amazon or e-bay. They are priced at about $2 in the stores...of course online prices can vary widely as some are more scarce than others.

BTW, I think the listings in this thread are pretty complete, at least as far as Top 40 hits go (although I've been adding some non-Top 40s lately, especially by the bigger artists). I keep a sharp eye out for these as they come along and I'd be surprised if I missed any.

Here's one that's been out awhile, but I just saw it for the first time today at Best Buy, so I bought it:

Tamar Braxton - The One (Streamline/Epic 88883729322- wide release):
1. The One (actual 2:53)
2. Love And War (actual 4:01)

"Love And War" was actually the bigger hit (#57 on the Hot 100). "The One" has only "Bubbled Under" so far.

Looks like there's only been two U.S. commercial CD single releases of Hot 100 hits so far in 2015 (neither of which have hit the Top 40, although the Chris Janson single is currently at #42):

Kid Rock - First Kiss (Warner Bros. 547731 - wide release)
1. First Kiss
2. Jesus And Bochephus
3. Wasting Time (Funky Country Version 2013)

Chris Janson - Buy Me A Boat (Warner 550913 - Wal-Mart exclusive)
1. Buy Me A Boat
2. Hot Harp Jam

Paul Haney lists this as a commercially available single:

La Roux - Bulletproof (Big Life 013222)

I don't have the single. I do have the CD/album version which doesn't match the version on TM Century's HitDiscs that were made at the time of the single's release (which I only have an mp3 copy of):

HitDisc: HA200949 -- Cut 6
HitDisc: HJ200948 -- Cut 9
HitDisc: HP200930 -- Cut 18
HitDisc: HU200920 -- Cut 18
HitDisc: PM0909 -- Cut 20
GoldDisc: 1958N   -- Cut 2
GoldDisc: 892N   -- Cut 17

I'm looking for a lossless copy of the single mix. Does anyone have it on any of these TM Century discs? Also, the mix on those may be a special "promo only" "radio mix" and not matching the commercial CD single, so I'm not sure that I want to buy the commercial CD single. Does anyone know?

Paul,

I find this interesting. The only version I was aware of is the one that got played on the radio:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kk8eJh4i8Lo

Is this the CD single everyone is referring to that has the different version?

I'm pretty certain that's the regular album version (3:27) of "Bulletproof", as is on other European CD singles. And the 3 remixes (tracks 2-4) don't line up time-wise. The mystery remix of "Bulletproof" (also 3:27 - adding to the difficulty of tracking this version down) has more instrumentation. If someone wants to hear the remix (i.e., the one on TM Century), please PM me.
