Hi there. Does anyone have an original 45 of this tune to check actual running time. I have this on multiple CDs and noticed that the Ace Golden Age of American Rock 'N' Roll Volume 8 CD runs several seconds longer than all other releases (2:39). You can almost hear the song coming to a cold (and sloppy) ending! It's also in glorious mono. I'm curious how the original 45 ends. Thanks!

Hi Ringmaster,
my reference dub of Cub 9022 45 runs 2:31 and fades out.
the stereo version i have runs 2:30. The fade is
different on the 45 tho, it starts later and then suddenly
cuts off right at about 2:30-2:31.

The mono version on "Golden Age Vol. 8" runs 2:38, does
not fade at all, runs right the break-down but cuts off a
tiny bit of it, but essentially, ends cold.

hope that helps.

yeah i don't recall what cd i took the stereo mix off of,
but i'm sure the stereo LP is more accurate for its real
time.
i also just noticed i typo'd the time for the Ace cd, it
should read 2:39 to match Ringmaster's post.
