My commercial 45 (confirmed as Elektra 45236, is vinyl, with deadwax info of "ES45236A-SP") has a listed time of (3:39), but an actual time of (3:47). And, as Pat has already corrected noted in the database, all six of the current database CDs that include this song feature the longer, (4:20-4:21) LP version of the song.

Does anyone know what part of the song, specifically, was edited out, for the single edit?

Also, there were single edits for Chapin's top 40 AC charting hits "Sunday Morning Sunshine" and "Dreams Go By", which are also shorter than the album version (the only version on CD). Can anyone tell me what was edited out of these?

The 45 edit appears on the double CD The Singles A's & B's recently released by Wounded Bird Records.
