Can anyone confirm 100% that the
“Remixed Edited Version” of MOML
indeed appears on this comp.? I bought this track from
the recent
‘Single Mixes’ digital release, and it sounds a bit
fuzzy, as if a higher
generation tape source was used. Would love to get my
hands on the
version from ATGH if it is this same mix, to see if it
sounds any cleaner.

I can't confirm 100%, but the ATGH version does have the
same intro and about the same running time as the
Promo/Remixed 45.

By the way, I think the exact title of this comp may
actually be, "36 All-Time Greatest Hits".

Great— To my knowledge, there was only one single (7”) length remix,
so it’s a high likelihood. Thanks for the info.!

The database says "36 All Time Greatest Hits" contains the promo 45 version of "Method Of Modern Love."

Thanks Aaron! I only wish it had the promo 45 remix of “One on One”
as well. Those 2018 digital comps filled in a lot of holes, but that one
sadly remains missing.

The promo edit of "One On One" just like it more than
the 45 or LP! Funny how that works so often for alot of
us!

Was looking at some of my VA compilation CD's and came across one called "Soul Sensation" which appears to be from England. It has a version of "Method Of
Modern Love" that runs about 3:05. It appears to be the same as the Remixed/Promo 45 version, just faded early. Don't think it was the UK Single Version, as
Discogs lists it at 3:58. There's also a version of Patti Labelle's "If You Asked Me To" running about 3:32 which also appears to be an early fade and not a
Single Version that was released anywhere. I assume these were early fades done to fit as many songs as possible on one disc.

Yuck. Fading a song 10 secs early I can see (though it’s not preferred),
but 3:05 is just egregious.

The remix/edit version of 'Method Of Modern Love' is on
the digital release 'Single Mixes' available in redbook
quality on most digital stores.

Peter,

Thanks for the tip about the 'Single Mixes' collection.
It's on Amazon music. Wonder if it's worthy of inclusion
in Pat's database?

And, welcome to the forum!
