Maybe someone can shed some light on this one. My 45 of this song (Atlantic 45-1117)is different than the one on "Deep Sea Ball," "Atlantic R&B 1947-54," and even the Ace "Golden Age #11." Pat, the DB listing for those CDs should probably be changed to "alt version," and I am wondering if anyone knows whether the rest of the CDs listed for this song contain this alternate version. Or should I say, is there any CD that has the correct version of this song?

Robert you are right, the 45 that I just obtained is not the same as any of the cd appearances in the database. However I expect that there is an LP version and a 45 version of this song as it originally appeared on the "Rock And Roll" vinyl LP which has now been reissued on cd by Collectors' Choice Music #817 and every song in the database is the same as the version on the "Rock And Roll" cd. Now this does not mean that Collectors' Choice used the right version so does anyone have the vinyl LP of "Rock And Roll" that can confirm that the vinyl LP has the same version as the Collectors' Choice cd?

Is it safe to say the 45 and LP versions are two different recordings?
