I know--not a top-40 hit, but. . .
Has anyone tried to replicate the single version of "Vahevala"? I have one that sounds a little muddy, so I was trying to see if I could chop up my much cleaner CD version to match. And I'm having a little trouble with the edit in the instrumental break (OK, a lot of trouble, almost to the point where unless my ears are deceiving me it might not be possible to create the edit). It seems like there's an extra drum beat at the point of edit that's not on the LP version.
Anyway, has anyone given this a try?

Great song! I heard it a few weeks back on "Yacht Rock", on SiriusXM. Has anyone made a digital copy of the 45 version?

I seem to remember Yah Shure saying the 45 was a remix
and
looks like I was right. Back in 2008 he said that "The
"Vahevala" 45 is a remix. Generally speaking, the stereo
is narrower.
There was also a glitch on both the promo and stock 45s.
The left channel suffers from major tape flutter from
:17 to :27.
Promo copies credited Ken Loggins, and the title was
spelled "Vahevella."
Tried to bring up the original thread and I couldn't
link to it.
