I have two separate promo 45s for this: One has the listed (3:51), actual (3:54) version (same as the stock 45), on both sides. The other promo 45 also has the same cut on both sides, but this promo 45 has an (Edited Version), with both a listed and actual time of (3:36).

Thanks, Jim. The database currently accounts for the DJ 45 run times but not the commercial 45.

This in from abagon... The actual commercial 45 run time of Pointer Sisters' "Goldmine" is 3:54, not 3:51 as stated on the record label. This echoes Jim's findings in his above post and should probably be incorporated into the database.

gary was kind enough to send me a dub of the 3:36 dj
edit......the dj edit can be re-created from the lp version
by
editing off approximately the first 0:16 of the lp
version.....start on the horn downbeat...removing the
spoken intro and guitar parts....if you pitch it to match
the dj edit, your re-creation should run 3:36
