Pretty sure this one's been covered before.

If it was, danged if I can find it. Anyone know the edit points? (Guess John would, if he recreated the edit for Ed.)

The bad news is there are three little edits and an early fade, so this one will take some work.
Edit #1: Remove from 0:05.75 to 0:14.80 (right after the little riff on the bass guitar in both places, since it repeats). Edit #2: This one's a little trickier since the beginning and end of the edit is not on the cymbal crash, but one note after (i.e.: the second beat of the measure). Remove from 0:10.79 to 0:28.77 on the 45; 0:19.83 to 0:37.81 on the LP. Edit #3: This one cuts out a sparse passage, when what you really want to do is get right to the horns, baby. Remove 0:28.25 to 0:37.25 of the 45 version you're working on; 0:55.30 to 1:04.25 on the LP. Oh yeah. The fade starts at the same place as the LP version (45: 3:18 - LP: 3:54), but it's a quicker fade to the end (3:28 sounds about right, baby...mmm, yeah). The good news is after you edit all this down, you'll be...in the mood...for the groove...oh yeah.

The good news is the 45 edit is now on CD. It appears on the recent two disc Love Unlimited Orchestra 20th Century Records Singles set. You get all the A & B sides for the 45s released on the label during the '70s plus the 12" disco versions.
