Nice find on that Scepter promo and yes it's a rare occurrence to find stereo Scepter promo 45's of that era.

I have seen/own promos that record labels would press up as dedicated AM or FM serviced discs. Capitol did this even into the late 70's issuing double sided mono promo 45's, Janus and Casablanca as well

I'm willing to bet Scepter may have done this as well with this release.

This is a fairly common problem with movies being issued
by a company that does not also have the record rights to
the singer.
I remember Claudine Longet sang the title song in the
Peter Sellers' movie "The Party" but Henry Mancini had to
have his chorus do the song on the RCA soundtrack.
Claudine recorded a separate version for her label A&M.
Dionne Warwick does the song on the actual movie as shown
by this YouTube video. However, on the soundtrack album
(apparently 20th Century Fox only had movie rights to the
song) they recreated the film opening with someone else
singing Dionne's part.
Here's the actual film opening you can hear a little of
Dionne's theme before it clips off.

The version of the theme in the film is also a different
recording than the one Dionne released on record.
